Hi there Steve, this is Rhiannon from Aberystwyth, I spoke to you this evening regarding our injured rook! There's some lovely stories on this site, it's so nice to see professional people that genuinely care and treat each bird as an individual. I just wish there were more organisations like yours, as I've found there seems to be a lack of such places in Wales.
We will ring you tomorrow regarding our rook.
Regards

At the weekend we were fortunate enough to be given the details for RavenHaven by a local vet after rescuing an injured thrush. You were kind enough to take the bird into your care. I must say that we were taken aback with the grand tour of all your ravens and your Corvid 'family', not forgetting the little owls and other birds in your care. Many thanks for caring for the thrush and giving us an insight into the wonderful work that you are doing.
Have just read Tarquins story..what amazing birds..keep up the good work..x
Hi Steve, thanks for showing us around and for taking in the baby pigeon. I was moved by the dedication that you and your team show to all birds.
The world needs more people in it like you.
Keep up the brilliant work.
Thanks

Hello Steve. Thanks very much for showing us around Raven Haven. Alison loved it and we were all amazed at how the raven flew right over our heads, their wings brushing our hair. It was very exciting lol
Alison feeds the crows outside the front of our house and this visit was a real treat for her on her birthday. Your parrot is very beautiful too. Real pleasure, thank you.

Just wanted to say keep up the good work! i have always felt an affinity with corvids as my surname translates to "keeper of the jackdaws and our family crest has three jackdaws across the centre of it. i recently rescued a very underweight and confused young crow, i built him an aviary and he is now firmly rooted into the family (even my satanic bird murdering cat ignores him!)he has also made best friends with a pidgeon that my brother rescued. as soon as i am in a position to,i will definately be donating to your amazing and much appreciated work!good luck.
Mick.

Thank you for helping. You are heroes.
Great to hear that all is going well. Would love to bring to children over to see your new additions to the family. Karl (no. 45)
Thank you so much for the wonderful work you do. Can I come to visit? I found you when looking for source pictures for my mosaic of a large raven. I still have no idea how their wings work - so if you have a close up picture of a wing that would be great! I have donated some money today and if I sell my mosaic I will gladly give you some of that too for your project. Kind regards Flavia
Stumbled here, accidentally, looking up information on ravens we have here in the deserts of California in the US. I do similar rescue and rehab work... mostly reptiles, though I have a strong love for birds as well, and have helped many through the worst winters. Just read every page on Tarquin and his lovely family. Wanting you to know how it touches my heart to hear of others being so compassionate to our animal companions - wild or domestic. It is a rare find, unfortunately, but it is encouraging to know, even if the minority, people like this do exist. Continue on and God bless your mission. The ravens who frequent my property are such a delight. I can understand how you could become so dedicated so quickly. Wishing you and your birds all the health and success!

I've been interested in Raven's since seeing their airial dispaly's on Holyhead Mountain, Anglesey....my son and I were fascinated with the way one in particular would launch from a cliff and then drop, inverted, for several feet, caw loudly and do it again repeatedly.
My son asked "why?"
I just said "'Cos they can and obviously enjoy it"!!
Tarquins story is wonderful and inspiring...you should consider a book.....and sincerely wish you well for the future. Living in Cambridge our largest are the Carrion's....I liken them to mini ravens and as there are a few localy have found them quite ...wow....!! And very inteligent - more so than some of the local teenagers....ahem!!
Take care and the VERY best of luck,
Jim

Thanks so much for a great day. Being in such close contact with those guys really is quite magical. Really hope we get up to see you again soon.
Thanks so much for a brilliant time today - I'm still a bit speechless that I have had this opportunity to have such close contact! Your love and hard work is obvious to all in the fantastic condition of your birds and the special relationship you have with them.
Hi ya folks, thought I'd leave a good luck message, GOOD LUCK wow how things grow on you, I'd miss ravens in my life now, cheers for that and all you've tault me about them, even if that means being bullied by Mystic, thanks Steve and Shelley, wicked life experience xx

Really enjoyed reading about your corvid work. Growing up in Canada, ravens were a normal winter sight - loved seeing them tease dogs! I miss seeing them now that I am down in Bournemouth, but I will check out your site again when I need a top up!
Hi, Do you ever allow visits? I live in Cardiff but I would sincerly love to see the birds close up.
What an amazing project. It must be an experience living amongst all those interesting birds! I couldn't believe it when my teacher at South Ascot Village School (Mrs Hill) said she lived with them. My Dad was really interested and then I told him it was also going to be on Autumnwatch. We both thought it was great. The birds looked so intelligent as they seemed trained.
Great to see someone helping the image of and raising Ravens, one of the most interesting birds in the world. We have just a few around the New Forest area, but nothing like the number that should be around. I fell in love with Corvids as a lad, helping a couple to health in 1976 and 1985 (rooks)- a black headed gull too ! Let us know when you start doing displays, etc
Keep up your great work

We all enjoyed watching your collection on autumnwatch last night. We all just can't quite beleive that you spend £600 a month! At school we will be reading Tarquins story. Mrs Hill told us about the magpie that was on Shelley's chest all night!

Great feature on Autumnwatch last night and wonderful to see ravens again - my favourite bird. Straight on the website this morning for a good look. Keep up the good work - I will be in touch again.
What a fantastic place you have there, and I'd like to thank you on beahlf of the many fantastic birds that you have rescued and look after. Marvalous birds like the Raven and other members of te Crow family need establishments like yours to help raise their profile and educate people about their many great qualities.Enjoyed seeing you on Autumnwatch. All the very best guys.
Superb feature on Autumnwatch, I have dealt with crows for over 30 years now so was much encouraged by your work, congratulations. I have a one eyed crow who is now 27 years old and recently lost my old Rook at well over 30!!
I too saw you on Autumnwatch - Mystic is truly a beautiful bird and a wonderful ambassador. I wish you all the best in your work.
Really enjoyed the Autumnwatch item. Had no idea a place like yours existed in England, something I always dreamed of doing myself. Was looking at volunteering in Austria just to be near ravens again.
Hopefully you take in 'mature' volunteers? The website is of great interest to me. Thanks for all the great work you've done and continue to do.

I saw a feature on the BBC Autumnwatch tonight and it immediately caught my attention since I adore ravens. If there's any way I could visit and/or help you I will! You are doing a fantastic job and I hope Raven Haven continues to thrive.
My plush raven Bran and I salute you!

Hi!
Good work! Always nice to see someone putting themselves out for the Corvid family. Most people cant understand what all the fuss is about, especially when your not getting paid for doing it.
I do a similar thing for Eurasian Jays. Though many different birds pass through my hands. Corvids have a special appeal that most people in their world of material gain would never understand. I take my hat off to you. good luck!

Hi guys. Well, i've just spent the last few hours reading everything on your website - i got so engrossed with Tarquin's story i had to read it all in one go! It's great to have met some of the family and relate to some of the stories as i remember them! I feel privilaged to have been around for some of it as otherwise i would never have been given the opportunity of seeing how majestic these birds truly are - thank you. I think you do a great job and look forward to reading future stories.
Hi Dad,

Just came across your website via a member on Crows@yahoogroups.com I also came across Corvid Aid last week, I didn't know there were any actual corvid rescue places in the UK, so I am delighted! I rehab birds (most species except birds of prey and water/sea birds) in South Devon. I adore corvids and jackdaws are my favourite bird, I have had long term corvids but like most rehabbers lack space ( I only have a small garden with 2 small aviaries and a insulated shed for baby and sickly birds. I am sometimes looking for homes for disabled corvids, I guess you probably lack space too though?!
Anyway, good to meet you, do come and join Crows group if you like, and my bird hospital my space is here www.myspace.com/birdhospital
Keep up the good work!
Hearty caws!

Love your web site. Thank you for your help with the advice on our injured Jackdaw. We are looking after him until his new feathers come and he seems very happy in his safehouse! We will send you some pictures via e-mail soon and let you know how he gets on. Thanks again and keep up the amazing work at Raven Haven. Chris & Mel X
A lovely site and gorgeous birds! Good luck with the Corvid Center!
I just found your site & I love it. It is truly an amazing experience to be in the company of a Raven (or Crow), they are the most intelligent birds & a constant source of wonderment. It's nice to see that you have such a love for these wonderful souls, keep up the great work.

I think what you do is wonderful, I take in injured crows, magpies and other corvids, it is so rewarding to help then return to full health and then that moment you re release them, when you can is such an awe inspiring moment
